As the Executive Director of a professional orchestra, we have had many pianos moved. This was a personal move of my Mother's 1930 s Steinway grand which is near and dear to my heart. The movers from Modern Piano and the service team kept me informed of the schedule, showed up slighty early (which was good), tenderly and efficiently wrapped each individual component and quickly packed the piano up. It was delivered on time, assembled quickly and professionally, and no damage was sustained in the 250 mile move. i am not easily impressed--and I am blown away! thank you.

I found Modern Piano thru research in the internet. Reviews were favorable. I can add another favorable review to that list! When had to sell parents' home which was a very sad thing, there was an antique baby grand piano that I needed to transport some 1300 miles to my home. I hired Modern Piano Company to do the move going on the reviews I'd read and their length of time in business. The piano arrived yesterday, is in pristine condition, the 2 movers, Chris & Wes, were on time, very competent + professional & the piano is in it's new home looking perfect! They even had these beautiful wooden cups to go under the legs that are hand crafted in Missouri, company's home base. I could't be happier with how everything turned out. I would highly recommend & trust this company to move your most beloved pieces.

Recommended to me by a Cleveland Symphony musician, Modern Piano exceeded my already high hopes and expectations when they helped us move the 1906 Steinway O we'd purchased from a family in Vermont to its new home in Washington DC. Daniel Moore answered my numerous questions and concerns, and coordinated the move with a local company, storing it for a two weeks in the Pennsylvania location to accommodate the dates we needed. Lou and Brian brought it to our condominium building and carefully and lovingly got it to the third floor of our 100-year old building. Not without difficulty -- it required a great deal more work than any of us could have anticipated, despite careful measurements of our tiny, vintage building elevator, and included the reluctant but necessary removal of the top and soundboard. For a first time piano owner fulfilling a lifelong dream, I might have been a nervous wreck if not for the clear expertise and experience of everyone involved. I am forever grateful to Lou and Brian, who made sure, before they left that afternoon, that our piano was in the near-perfect condition it was when they picked it up for the final leg of its long trip. I recommend Modern Piano Movers without reservation, and with a tremendous amount of respect and gratitude.
