Recommended to me by a Cleveland Symphony musician, Modern Piano exceeded my already high hopes and expectations when they helped us move the 1906 Steinway O we'd purchased from a family in Vermont to its new home in Washington DC. Daniel Moore answered my numerous questions and concerns, and coordinated the move with a local company, storing it for a two weeks in the Pennsylvania location to accommodate the dates we needed. Lou and Brian brought it to our condominium building and carefully and lovingly got it to the third floor of our 100-year old building. Not without difficulty -- it required a great deal more work than any of us could have anticipated, despite careful measurements of our tiny, vintage building elevator, and included the reluctant but necessary removal of the top and soundboard. For a first time piano owner fulfilling a lifelong dream, I might have been a nervous wreck if not for the clear expertise and experience of everyone involved. I am forever grateful to Lou and Brian, who made sure, before they left that afternoon, that our piano was in the near-perfect condition it was when they picked it up for the final leg of its long trip.
