Very good to work with! Shipped a piano from MI to MT. Only negative comment, and it's very minor: I was the purchaser, having it delivered to a business where I have a studio. The movers communicated with the business site rather than with me, so I had to contact either the movers or the business owner to get updates. The move and delivery, however, went very smoothly and were done in a timely fashion.

The movers were very professional and careful with the piano and its surroundings. Scheduling requires you to be flexible, though. Since they are combining nationwide moves, they give you an "estimated date range", but they can't let you know for sure when the pickup is until 72-48 hours in advance. Then, they cannot tell you the delivery until the same. Price was comparable to other insured bonded piano movers.

Mine was a somewhat complicated piano move as I used a local mover in NYC to get the piano down four flights of narrow stairs in an apartment building. Modern picked up the piano from the local company and shipped it to South Carolina. Then, it had to be put on a smaller truck to get it to my house. All of that went smoothly. The only minor issue was that the delivery to my house showed up one and a half hours early, at 1:30 pm instead of between 3 and 7 pm. I was not going to be home until the 3 pm delivery window the movers had given me. They said they would wait. In the meantime, I called my husband to see if he was home and could take delivery and as we were on the phone, the mover rang the doorbell. I would have preferred that they had waited until I got back to them that it was okay to deliver early.

The young men who arrived to pick up our piano were efficient and quick. They carefully packed my piano without damaging it or anything in the house. The men who delivered my piano were just as efficient. They carefully unwrapped and put the grand piano back together again and maneuvered it around till we had it in just the right spot. I highly recommend Modern Piano Movers for a long distance piano move.

Very professional organization. The men who did the packing, transporting, and delivery were courteous and knew exactly what they were doing at all times. Modern Piano was amazing to work with. Julie was positive and friendly and made coordinating the move of my piano from a storage company I have never been to in Oregan to my living room in Georgia - a breeze. They took care of everything and the piano was in great shape after the journey. The price was surprisingly affordable and the ease of coordinating all the moving parts made it well worth the price. Great job!
