Moving a grand piano cross-country (in our case, NW Ohio to Central FL) is never simple (and has become increasingly complicated in recent years as moving companies become loathe to assume responsibility for valuable instruments). Modern made the experience painless - and even fun! Our move involved storing the instrument for a month plus to accommodate schedules on the receiving end - and that was also painless. First time ever moving an expensive piano across country so was a little concerned.
This was unjustified because I received above and beyond service that exceeded my expectations.
Courteous, professional and accommodating. I had to make changes because of moving complications and Modern Piano Moving made the changes without any problems at all.
The crews were on-time, very considerate and pleasant in their work.
The piano was packed, moved, reshipped, unpacked and setup without any sign of having gone through a cross-country shipping process. A good experience that I would recommend to anyone. Will certainly use them again.

Moving my much-loved piano that has been in my family for 30 years (and in this world since 1932) could have driven me crazy with worry had I not found Modern Piano. They did everything right and courteously so I only had to eagerly wait for the piano's arrival in Seattle-all the way from Atlanta. I knew every step involved with transport thanks to Modern's policy of keeping owners in the loop. The delivery team worked hard in the Seattle rain to protect my piano, and I saw the care first-hand that they took to make sure 'my baby' was safe. I give the entire venture 5 gold stars. I will only trust my piano to Modern, and I hope anyone reading this will do the same.

Found the provider online. Responded quickly. Pickup/delivery as promised. Crew leader and assistance were professional and eager to answer any question. They knew what they were doing and worked as a team. Temperature controlled van was clean and well supplied with covers ,belts, and tie downs.

I moved a baby grand piano from my home in Asheville, NC to Williamsburg, VA. The timing issues were perfect with good communication about dates, then a call a few days before to be more specific about 'THE DAY' of pick-up, and then 30 minutes prior to arrival - it was so easy and so convenient. And yes, they were so careful with my "baby". At the destination, they were also very professional in putting it all back together and in the spot where I wanted it. I would definitely use them again and I would highly recommend them!

Very professional guys, courteous & extremely polite...had the Baldwin baby grand packed & in the moving van in around an hour. Moved from Ponchatoula, LA to storage to our daughter in Austin, Texas. Right on time.
