Modern Piano was wonderful!! We shipped my Grandmothers Baby Grand piano from Massachusetts to South Carolina which I was a little nervous about but couldn't be happier in choosing Modern Piano to do so. They were very orgazined and very professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is considering moving a piano cross country.

Beginning with the first telephone call through to the delivery of our piano, everyone we dealt with was professional and personable. It was amazing to watch the extreme care they took with breaking down and preparing the baby grand for shipping. They were equally as careful upon delivery and set up. The cost was fair and the quality was exceptional. Modern Piano Movers are the only company I would ever entrust to move our piano.

Mine was a somewhat complicated piano move as I used a local mover in NYC to get the piano down four flights of narrow stairs in an apartment building. Modern picked up the piano from the local company and shipped it to South Carolina. Then, it had to be put on a smaller truck to get it to my house. All of that went smoothly. The only minor issue was that the delivery to my house showed up one and a half hours early, at 1:30 pm instead of between 3 and 7 pm. I was not going to be home until the 3 pm delivery window the movers had given me. They said they would wait. In the meantime, I called my husband to see if he was home and could take delivery and as we were on the phone, the mover rang the doorbell. I would have preferred that they had waited until I got back to them that it was okay to deliver early.

Very professional organization. The men who did the packing, transporting, and delivery were courteous and knew exactly what they were doing at all times. As with most things of this type, final delivery was dependent on overall scheduling needs (and the consumer needs to understand this). In sum, the overall experience was great.
